The 2020 college football season is a source of constant debate among media members, fans and those involved in the decision-making aspects of the sport.
Will it happen? Will it start on time? Will all the conferences be able to participate? Those are all questions we can’t answer at this point in May.
On Wednesday, ESPN analyst Heather Dinich said she thinks those that can play football will, and that this will be a hodgepodge season:
ESPN's @CFBHeather on what she expects for the college football season come Sept. 5. "The schools that can play football will. I think it’s going to look like my 5-year-old's sock drawer. Nothing is going to match.”

Some of the Pac-12 states might not be ready to reopen until August, which would obviously make preparing for a September football season difficult.
Will Dinich’s predictions be right? Or, will the sport find a way to get everyone on the same page? We’ll find out over the next few months.
