ESPN’s SP+ model has made its predictions for every FBS game in Week 8.
The Florida Gators will look to bounce back from the loss to Texas A&M when they host the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday. In a game where the loser is going to be in a tough spot to making it to a bowl game, the model is projecting a 27-24 win for the Gators.
Here’s a look at SP+ score predictions for every Week 8 contest:
The Bulldogs started the year off at 4-0 but have lost their last two SEC games to Tennessee and Texas A&M. Mississippi State has made strides under coach Jeff Lebby but the Bulldogs will be seeking a statement road win this weekend.
The Gators are also coming off a loss at Texas A&M, as they lost to the Aggies 34-17 last week. Freshman wide receiver Dallas Wilson has played only two games for the Gators, but he is showcasing his big play ability with three receiving touchdowns so far.
Kickoff is set for 4:15 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.
