Both the Auburn and Missouri Tigers suffered heartbreaking home losses this past weekend, and now both programs will be looking to get back in the win column this Saturday against one another.
Mizzou will be looking to maintain its current standing in the SEC Championship Game picture, while Auburn will be looking to keep the wheels from falling off its 2025 campaign entirely.

There’s a lot on the line for both of these squads in Week 8, and ESPN analyst Bill Connelly recently released his SP+ projection for this high-stakes clash on The Plains.
The SP+ is a predictive model that takes a number of different stats and historical trends and uses them to curate power rankings for ESPN as well as project the outcome of any given game from week to week.
When it comes to this clash of the Tigers, Connelly’s model is projecting Mizzou to come out on top over Auburn by a final score of 27-22, which would actually be an upset according to Vegas, which currently has Auburn favored.
The previous 2 meetings between these schools both came down to a single possession, so it’s well within reason to assume a similar outcome here, given how stout both of their defenses have been.
A win or loss for either team would have pretty significant ramifications on the outlook for the rest of their respective seasons, so this should be a good one under the lights at Jordan-Hare.
