Patterson sprained his ankle during the Falcons’ 43-3 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. The versatile athlete had been a bright spot in the Atlanta offense in his first season with the team, taking 77 carries for 303 yards and a pair of touchdowns while making 39 catches for 473 yards and 5 touchdowns.
The Falcons will still hope that they can slow down what’s been a red-hot New England Patriots team led by quarterback Mac Jones. They have won their last 4, including a 45-7 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
Kickoff from Atlanta is set for 8:20 p.m. ET on FOX and the NFL Network.
