Well, this isn’t how you do it, FAU.
FAU travelled to Oklahoma and got absolutely slaughtered 63-14, and it was downright “embarrassing,” according to Lane Kiffin.
Well, this may have been more embarrassing.
According to FAU Owl Access, the FAU Alumni Association mistakingly sent out a mass text message following the loss and contained a link to the page describing “Winning in Paradise” and proclaimed the Owls the victors against the Sooners. Really. The page also had a hype video included.
FAU entered the game having won 10 straight games, and whoever was in charge of the text message was certainly expecting No. 11.
Several FAU fans took to Twitter about it:
Uh whoever is in charge of the text machine @FAU needs needs to pay attention to the game. ??? #FAUvsOKLA #FAUvsOU pic.twitter.com/jwP9QsmLer

So I just got this text. Yes, let’s celebrate. Could this day get more embarrassing for FAU? pic.twitter.com/7NskZpv3Kx
