Twitter fight!
In case you missed it, Oklahoma’s men’s basketball team lost to Villanova 95-51 in Saturday’s Final Four matchup.
Following the blowout loss, SEC Network personality Paul Finebaum Tweeted out this message as a jab at the Sooners:
At least, OU now has the distinction of being the first school to get blown out of the Final Four in both football and basketball.
— Paul Finebaum (@finebaum) April 3, 2016
That message, of course, was in reference to the Sooners’ loss to Clemson in the College Football Playoff semifinals last season.
It was timely, and funny.
There is no love lost between Finebaum and the Oklahoma football program, which has been known to drop some anti-SEC comments, most notably from Coach Bob Stoops and former LB Eric Stryker.
As Finebaum likes to do, he was definitely poking the bear with this one.
And on Sunday morning, he received a response from one of the biggest Sooners personalities going– starting QB Baker Mayfield.
How did Paul Finebaum get his job? Has he ever played a relevant level of any sport?

Hey now. Paul Finebaum may be a pot-stirring radio troll, but he’s our pot-stirring radio troll.
Back off, Baker.
