This week, Arizona’s governor announced that pro sports leagues would be welcome to return to the state in a few days.
Now, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is joining that call for sports to return. In fact, the UFC is already holding fight events in Jacksonville, with a Fight Night scheduled for Wednesday.
As you can see in the video below, DeSantis said pro sports teams from any city are welcome to play in Florida:

“All these professional sports are going to be welcome in Florida,” he said. “That may not be the case in every other state in the country, as we’ve seen. So what I would tell commissioners of teams is, ‘If you have a team in an area where they just won’t let them operate, we’ll find a place for you here in the state of Florida.’ We think it’s important and we know it can be done safely.”
Interestingly enough, Major League Baseball teams have spring training facilities in both Florida and Arizona. Could we be heading for a Grapefruit vs. Cactus League World Series in 2020?
