The Florida Gators have one of the biggest Week 1 matchups in the country, as they are scheduled to take on Big Ten powerhouse Michigan at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.
Ahead of the marquee matchup, the Gators will host a pep rally at the Omni Hotel on Sept. 1 at 6 p.m. Central time, according to a release from the school. The event will feature the Florida marching band and spirit squads.
To make things even more interesting, the rally will have appearances by longtime Florida coach Steve Spurrier and legendary Gator RB Emmitt Smith, who has plenty of ties to the Dallas area from his time with the Cowboys.
The game itself will be played on Saturday, Sept. 2, at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time and can be seen on ABC.
