Florida lands 2024 commitment from Maryland OT, former South Carolina pledge

Mike Williams has found a new home in the SEC. After decommitting from South Carolina last month, the Class of 2024 lineman has pledged to play for Florida.
Williams announced his commitment to the Gators on his Twitter account Monday afternoon.

Williams lives with his godmother in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, but has Sunshine State ties. He told Gator Country that his parents live in Orlando.
Out of Charles Herbert Flowers, Williams is listed as measuring 6-6, 325 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Williams is rated 3-stars, the No. 36 Maryland recruit, No. 107 offensive tackle and No. 1,326 prospect overall nationally in the Class of 2024.
Williams committed to South Carolina on April 19, 2023 but opted to reopen his recruitment on May 23.
