The Florida Gators landed their seventh commitment for the class of 2017 Thursday.
JUCO defensive lineman Javier Edwards committed to Jim McElwain and the Gators. Edwards currently attends Blinn College, where Cam Newton went prior to Auburn. McElwain broke the news via Twitter.

Edwards is a 6-foot-2, 320-pound prospect who doesn’t have a star rating yet on 247Sports Composite Rankings, but I’m sure that will change quickly.
