Florida’s leading receiver Justin Shorter won’t play against Texas A&M Saturday, according to 247Sports.

Shorter won’t play due to a hamstring injury, as he didn’t practice much during the week. Shorter wasn’t dressed out during warmups Saturday morning ahead of facing the Aggies either.

The Gators wide receiver leads the team in receiving. He’s recorded 21 catches for a team-high 471 yards and 2 touchdowns. He’s averaging 22.4 yards per catch.

Xzavier Henderson leads the Gators with 32 catches, and he’ll play a bigger role Saturday for quarterback Anthony Richardson. Backup receiver Ja’Quavion Fraziars should play more due to Shorter’s absence. Ricky Pearsall should also get more looks in the passing game.

Texas A&M will likely have several players out of Saturday’s game due to a flu outbreak within the team and TAMU’s campus.
