Florida has had some major turnover in the 2022 recruiting class lately, which isn’t a surprise as new head coach Billy Napier takes over.
On Saturday morning, the Gators lost another key player in their class — 3-star LB EJ Lightsey out of Fitzgerald, Georgia.
As you can see below, Lightsey — who reportedly took an official visit to Florida on Friday — announced his decision to decommit from the Gators via Twitter:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Lightsey is the No. 50 linebacker in the class of 2022 and the No. 47 overall recruit from the state of Georgia.
Florida’s 2022 class is now down to only 7 players. It currently ranks No. 74 in the nation and No. 14 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
