Florida pulled off a big-time upset on Saturday, as the men’s basketball squad took down No. 2 Auburn in Gainesville, 63-62.

It was an upset that keeps the Gators within striking distance of an NCAA Tournament berth, but there’s still work to do for Mike White and company.

After the game, fans stormed the floor. On Monday, the SEC announced the Gators had been fined $50,000 for a first court-storming infraction:

Florida will incur a fine of $50,000 for a first offense under the league’s access to competition area policy.

Fines levied against schools for violation of the access to competition area policy are deposited into the SEC Post-Graduate Scholarship Fund.

We’re sure that’s one fine the Gators will gladly pay.
