Florida looks to be losing a talented defender to a potential transfer.

Collins’ decision may have been made midseason. His Florida bio shows that he last played on Oct. 19 in the win over Kentucky. Collins played in 6 games of the 2024 campaign, recording 6 tackles. A search of the SEC Student-Athlete Availability Report Archive does not return any results for Collins.
In his first season with the Gators, Collins earned Freshman All-SEC recognition. He played in all 12 games of UF’s 2023 season, recording 23 total tackles, including 1.5 sacks, 4 QB hurries, 1 pass breakup and 1 forced fumble.
Out of Gardendale (Alabama) High School, Collin was a sought-after recruit. He was rated 4-stars, the No. 5 defensive lineman, No. 6 player in the state of Alabama and No. 42 prospect overall in the Class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite. Collins picked up scholarship offers from 29 programs, signing with Florida over Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and others. Current Texas A&M defensive line coach Sean Spencer is credited with being Collins’ primary Florida recruiter.
