Florida is entering a new era under coach Todd Golden, who takes over for Mike White, who left for Georgia this offseason.
That will lead to plenty of roster turnover, which seems to be the norm these days. On Monday, the Gators reportedly lost a key starter to the portal.
As you can see below, Travis Branham of 247Sports reported that Tyree Appleby has decided to explore his transfer options ahead of the 2022-23 season:
Florida guard Tyree Appleby has entered the transfer portal, a source told @247SportsPortal.
Averaged 10.9 points, 2.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists this season for the Gators.

Appleby appeared in 34 games for the Gators in 2021-22, starting 27 of them. He averaged 10.9 points, 3.7 assists, 2.1 rebounds and 1.2 steals per contest.
Where he ends up next remains to be seen, but it seems likely his time in Gainesville is over.
