On the heels of Wednesday’s news of Jameis Winston’s first-half suspension against Clemson following a sexually-explicit verbal outburst on campus, Florida State has decided to sit its Heisman quarterback for the entirety of Saturday’s game after further review.

“It was not a good decision,” FSU coach Jimbo Fisher said this week. “You can’t make certain statements that are derogatory or inflammatory to any person, race or gender.”

Tuesday, Deadspin.com posted Twitter comments from students who were at the FSU student union, and the tweets indicated that Winston stood on a table and yelled an expletive-filled phrase.

Winston’s NFL draft stock is falling rapidly with his recent string of off-the-field incidents including a crab leg citation at Publix.
