After earning the NCAA transfer portal on Dec. 21, Jesiah Pierre has found his new home.
The departing Florida linebacker announced his commitment to Texas Tech on Friday. Pierre shared the news on Twitter.
The redshirt freshman played in 10 games for the Gators in 2020. He recorded 8 tackles with half coming in UF’s win over Vanderbilt on Nov. 21.
A former 3-star recruit out of Mount Dora (Fla.) Christian Academy, Pierre was part of Florida’s 2019 recruiting, committed to Dan Mullen’s program on July 1, 2018.
In his first year on campus, Pierre played in only two games in 2019, then redshirted.
