Florida vs. Georgia: 3 best player over/under picks for SEC East showdown

Florida vs. Georgia is perhaps the fiercest SEC East rivalry. Georgia is, of course, coming off a national championship under Kirby Smart in 2021, while Florida is rebuilding in Year 1 of the Billy Napier era.
Heading into Saturday’s Cocktail Party rivalry, Georgia sports a perfect 7-0 record. Florida enters the contest with a 4-3 mark. Both squads had open dates last weekend.
The game is set to kick off from Jacksonville at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday and will be shown on CBS.
Over at Underdog, there are ways to get in on the action by making fantasy picks for Georgia and Florida players’ over/under stats.
What is Underdog and why should SEC fans care?
Underdog is a new daily fantasy platform backed by investors such as Mark Cuban, Kevin Durant and Adam Schefter.
This isn’t what you might think about fantasy sports though. Through Underdog’s “Pick’em” contests, you can bundle a few selections of player prop picks similar to what you find at sportsbooks, and yes, you can put real money against these picks. Check out the screenshots below for Florida and Georgia picks this week:
Underdog Fantasy is available in 41 states, so all of those southern “SEC” states where sports betting is not yet legal? Yep, you can do Underdog Fantasy picks for real money, as we’re outlining here. It’s really fun.

My Picks for Florida vs. Georgia
For example, fans in Florida, Georgia and across the SEC can use the Underdog Fantasy app to pick whether Georgia QB Stetson Bennett will have more than 280.5 passing yards against the Florida defense or fewer.
For the Bulldogs’ over/unders listed above, I like the “lower” option for Bennett’s passing yards. Last year, against a Todd Grantham-led Florida defense, Bennett threw for only 161 yards in a 34-7 Georgia victory.
Yes, the defensive staff is different this time around, but Georgia is a heavy favorite to win the game. If the Bulldogs take a big lead early, Bennett won’t have to do much with his arm and the Dawgs will simply rely on their bruising rushing attack.
Plus, through 7 games, Florida is giving up only 244.3 yards per game through the air. Take the under if you expect a lopsided Georgia victory.
That brings us to Georgia TE Brock Bowers. One of the best tight ends in the country, Bowers hasn’t been a big part of Georgia’s offense the past 2 games. Against Vanderbilt in Week 7, he caught 4 passes for only 15 yards.
The week before, at Auburn, Bowers amassed 2 catches for 36 yards. If Georgia does win this game handily, I’d expect Bowers to be more of a factor in the running game than as a receiver.
This season, Bowers has 3 carries for 82 yards and has scored touchdowns on all 3.
Take the “lower” and expect Bowers to be more of a factor in Georgia’s clock-killing running attack than as a receiver. The Bulldogs will save him for Nov. 5, when an elite Tennessee team comes to Athens.
On the Florida side, I love the “higher” pick for QB Anthony Richardson’s rushing yards. The over/under number is set at 38.5 yards.
Even against Georgia’s elite defense, Richardson should be able to top that. He’s better than he was last year, and he’s topped 38.5 rushing yards in his last 4 games.
He’s coming off a bye week, so he should be fully healthy and ready to go for this rivalry game, and against LSU 2 weeks ago, he ran for a whopping 109 yards on 9 carries.
If Florida is going to compete, Richardson will have to make a few big plays with his legs. I think he’s up to the task.
How many picks should you make?
The more picks you string together, the higher the “multiplier” or payout. Of course, the more you string together, the less likely you are to win because all of the picks have to hit in order for you to win.
I prefer 2-leg picks with a 3X multiplier, so my favorite pick tandem this week is the Anthony Richardson rushing yards “higher” pick paired with Stetson Bennett and the “lower” on passing yards. But, if you want to go for a 6X multiplier, going with the “lower” on Brock Bowers’ receiving yards is perhaps the best third option.
