Florida’s 2018 recruiting class has just lost a commitment as Delray Beach receiver Corey Gammage has backed off his pledge with the program. He originally committed to the program back in April.

Given that he did not sign with the program during the early signing period and took an official visit to Iowa State in December, the move was not totally unexpected.

The 6-foot-2, 188-pound Gammage is rated as a three-star prospect and the No. 109 overall prospect from the state of Florida by 247Sports Composite Rankings. With his decision to move on from Florida now officially, it will be interesting to see where he winds up, as he has scholarship offers from Auburn, Miami, Kentucky and Virginia Tech among others.

Here’s the statement he made declaring his decision to decommitment from the Florida program:

The Gators are now down to one 2018 commitment in offensive lineman Richard Gouraige. The program had 13 prospects sign during the early signing period last month.
