Tua Tagovailoa’s recovery appears to be further along than most expected to this point, and in fact, the Alabama quarterback will be back practicing in the coming days.
Saban announced following the win over Arkansas that his star quarterback will be back to practice this week.
“I don’t know what he’ll be able to do or how much,” Saban said. “But that’s sort of the prognosis for where we are right now.”
Tagovailoa had surgery on his high ankle sprain last Sunday morning, and he was seen in a walking boot moving around during the blowout win over Arkansas.
Backup Mac Jones started for the Tide, and he had a huge night, throwing for 235 yards and three touchdowns.
“He’s absolutely doing even better than expected,” Saban said about Tagovailoa Saturday morning during an interview on SEC Nation. “Didn’t have a lot of swelling this time around, so that sort of accentuates the ability to rehab.”
All eyes are on Tagovailoa’s recovery with LSU coming to town on November 9.
