Football player from Amherst College dies during spring break trip to Mexico

Terrible news to report from Amherst College as senior Andrew Dorogi has died during a recent trip to Mexico on March 16 during the school’s spring break period.
The cause of his death is unknown at this time.
Amherst President Biddy Martin offered up this statement on the passing of Dorogi:
“Andrew touched the lives of so many students, faculty, coaches and staff on our campus, and his sudden death is a profound blow. Please look to one another for sympathy, support, understanding and strength. Please keep his family and all who loved him in your thoughts.”
The school recently issued this statement following the news:
