Netori Johnson signed with Georgia as a highly-regarded 4-star prospect from the class of 2017 but never was quite able to get his collegiate career going in Athens.

After his decision to transfer, the Atlanta-area product has now chosen a new program to finish out his eligibility. Johnson announced on his Twitter account on Thursday that he had committed to Middle Tennessee State in Conference USA.

One of the top offensive line prospects in his class, Johnson redshirted as a true freshman in 2017. He played in 4 games in 2018 before being switched to the defensive line, and in his new role, he totaled 2 tackles for a loss, including 1.0 sacks, in 2019. However, he was unable to break into the lineup in 2020.

That led to his decision in December to enter the transfer portal in search of further opportunities elsewhere, ultimately choosing to head to Murfreesboro. The Blue Raiders were 3-6 this past season, being forced to cancel 3 games due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
