Former Alabama LB Eryk Anders puts undefeated record on the line at UFC Fight Night

Alabama fans remember former LB Eryk Anders for leading the team in tackles during the 2010 BCS National Championship Game victory over Texas, where he also forced a late fumble that helped seal the Crimson Tide’s victory.
Now, though, he’s forging a new path, and he’s doing it very well. Through 10 MMA fights, he’s a perfect 10-0, but Saturday night poses his biggest challenge yet.
That’s because he’ll take on veteran Lyoto Machida, who was the light heavyweight champion at one point in his career and boasts a 22-8 overall record. Anders and Machida will square off in Machida’s native Brazil on Saturday night at a UFC Fight Night event.
Anders is one of the hottest middleweight fighters in the world at the moment, and can take a huge step forward with a win over Machida, who has lost four of his last five fights.
The main card fights kick off at 10 p.m. Eastern time and can be seen on FOX Sports 1.
