Former Alabama OL Cam Robinson will reportedly miss a portion of the upcoming 2023 season. Robinson has been suspended by the NFL for 4 games in violation of the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Michael DiRocco.

Robinson has been a member of the Jaguars since 2017 when the club drafted him in the second round of the NFL Draft. He has started 75 games during his Jacksonville career.

The suspension will cost $888,888 per game for a total of $3,555,552, per the ESPN report. It also voids Robinson’s guaranteed base salary of $16 million for 2023, which is Year 2 of a 3-year extension he signed in May 2022.

A knee injury sidelined Robinson for the final 3 games of the 2022 regular season and Jacksonville’s 2 postseason contests. Jaguars general manager Trent Baalke previously expressed confidence that Robinson would be healthy enough to return to the team for offseason activities. While suspended, Robinson is still allowed to be with the team during training camp and preseason.

Word of Robinson’s suspension was first reported by DiRocco in April. At that time, Robinson was expected to be suspended 2, 6 or 8 games.
