Former Alabama WR Julio Jones is officially on the Philadelphia Eagles’ 53-man roster. The Eagles announced the signing of Jones on Wednesday.
Jones has been with the club since Oct. 17 and has already played in 2 games. He was originally signed to the practice squad. Practice squad players can be signed away to another team’s active roster. The Eagles elevated Jones to the gameday roster for contests against the Miami Dolphins and Washington Commanders.
So far, Jones has 2 catches for 11 yards in 2023. He caught his first touchdown as an Eagle in Philadelphia’s Week 8 win over Washington.
By returning to the league, Jones became the NFL’s active leader in career receiving yards with 13,640. He is No. 16 all-time, with Henry Ellard (13,777) and Anquan Boldin (13,779) directly ahead of him.
Jones and the Eagles are set for a rivalry showdown with the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. The game will kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET and air on FOX.
