The rich could soon be getting richer as Alabama is reportedly interested in adding one of the best assistant coaches in recent SEC seasons.

Former Razorback offensive coordinator Dan Enos took a job at Michigan working for Jim Harbaugh after Bret Bielema was fired by Arkansas. However, despite that move, he could eventually land back in the SEC for 2018.

According to FootballScoop, Enos has been targetted by Nick Saban and Alabama. The specific potential role for Enos has not been defined, but the Tide do not have a quarterbacks coach at the moment. Given his college experience, it’s not out of the question Enos could be given a co-offensive coordinator role or passing game coordinator role in Tuscaloosa.

While the Razorback offense left much to be desired in 2017, the unit was also devasted by injuries, particularly to key players like quarterback Brandon Allen and All American offensive lineman Frank Ragnow. The Hogs also lost starting running back Rawleigh Williams to a career-ending injury in the spring. Enos was instrumental in the development of Razorback QB Brandon Allen in 2015.

Many Arkansas fans were more than ready to move on from Allen as a senior but Enos turned him into one of the SEC’s most effective passers in their first year together. Enos then helped Brandon’s younger brother Austin do much the same in his first season as a starter in 2016. Before landing at Arkansas, Enos was a head coach at Central Michigan.

Given the talent Alabama has on offense, in particular at the QB position, Enos could be the final piece toward building another championship coaching staff in Tuscaloosa.

Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports is also reporting Enos’ move to Alabama.
