Former Auburn baseball infielder Edouard Julien has been called up by the Minnesota Twins and will make his Major League debut Wednesday at second base against the White Sox.
Julien was a 18th round pick in 2019 after 2 years on the Plains, his freshman campaign stronger than his sophomore. A strong offensive player in the minors, Julien hit .267/.434/.480 in 2021 and spent 2022 in Double-A, hitting .300/.441/.490 with 17 home runs. Offensively, he should be able to shine in the Majors.
The Quebec native played for Canada in this past World Baseball Classic and has 8 hits, 7 walks and 2 home runs this season with Triple-A St. Paul.
