Former Auburn linebacker Deshaun Davis has had a string of bad luck recently.

On Thursday, Davis was released from his second NFL team in five days. The latest release came from the Jacksonville Jaguars. Davis joined the Jaguars practice squad on Monday, but they shuffled the practice roster by signing Joe Giles-Harris.

The Cincinnati Bengals drafted Davis in the sixth-round of the 2019 NFL Draft; however, the team waived Davis Saturday when they reduced their roster.

With only five days on the practice squad in Jacksonville, Davis didn’t really get a chance to make an impression on the coaching staff.

The former Auburn linebacker was a member of the 2018 All-SEC Team. During four years at Auburn (2015-18), Davis racked up 266 total tackles, including 29 tackles-for-loss and seven sacks. He made 116 tackles in 2018.
