Former Florida WR elevated to Miami Dolphins’ active roster for Week 14 game

Former Florida WR Freddie Swain is back on an NFL active roster. The Miami Dolphins announced Saturday that they have elevated Swain for Sunday’s game.
The Dolphins are on the road at the Los Angles Chargers in Week 14. The game will be featured on NBC’s Sunday Night Football (8:20 p.m. ET).

This Swain’s third professional season. His last game action came in Week 17 of the 2021 season on Jan. 9. He had a 25-yard catch for the Seattle Seahawks in a 38-30 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
After recording 68 receptions for 996 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns in four seasons at Florida, Swain was selected by the Seahawks in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft (No. 214 overall).
In 2 seasons with the Seahawks, Swain played in 33 games, making 9 starts. He recorded 38 catches for 502 yards and 6 touchdowns. After a 25-catch 2021 season (343 yards, 4 TD), Swain was released by Seattle on Aug. 30.
Swain has been on the Dolphins’ practice squad since Sept. 2.
