Former Florida walk-on kicker Danny Krysalka was shot and killed early Sunday morning in Ocala, Fla. as a result of accidental gunfire, according to a report in the Ocala Star-Banner.
Krysalka, 19, was with two other men when a gun the three were reassembling went off. Jefferson Davis Guinn IV was charged with manslaughter after being identified as the friend holding the gun.
According to the newspaper’s report, Guinn, 20, was “visibly distraught” and “crying” when arrested Sunday. He was later released on a $30,000 bond.
The tragic news of Krysalka’s death comes after another former Florida player, Chris Johnson, was found dead Feb 27.
