Kirby Smart appears to have added another coach to his Georgia staff as former Georgia Southern head coach Tyson Summers has been spotted at multiple high schools across the Peach State recruiting for the Bulldogs.

Summers has several years of experience across the college football landscape serving as an assistant at UAB, UCF, and Colorado State before taking over the job at Georgia Southern. He only held that position for a season and a half before being dismissed during the 2017 season.

Now he’s apparently on staff in Athens, as he recently stopped in for a visit with Calhoun coach Hal Lamb:

Summers followed up that visit with a stop at Darlington School according to head coach Tommy Atha:

Georgia has not publicly announced what position Summers had on Smart’s staff but the Bulldogs have yet to officially replace outside linebackers coach Kevin Sherrer who left to become Tennessee’s defensive coordinator.
