Former Georgia standout, first-round pick reportedly being shopped for trade by New England Patriots

Former Georgia standout Isaiah Wynn could be playing for a new NFL team this season. The New England Patriots are reportedly shopping their former first-round pick.
The news comes from Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, who notes the club is dealing with a tight salary cap:
The Patriots are probably going to trade … someone. New England’s really tight to the cap, and my sense is they’d like to use a surplus they might have at one position or another to alleviate that and maybe pick up a draft pick or two. The one guy I know definitively that they’ve talked with other teams on is Isaiah Wynn, their first-round pick from 2018. Wynn, though, is on a $10.4 million fifth-year option, which has made it tough to move a guy who, four years after he was drafted, is still seen as a tackle/guard tweener.
After Wynn’s All-SEC 2017 season at Georgia, helping the Bulldogs win the SEC Championship and a Rose Bowl thriller over Oklahoma, he was selected No. 33 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft. Though this is the fifth year of Wynn’s contract, his game experience amounts to 34 games (33 starts) over 3 seasons because he missed the 2018 campaign with a torn Achilles.
When healthy, Wynn has been a starter with the Patriots. Last year, Wynn played in 16 games, making 15 starts.
We’ll see if Wynn remains with New England for 2022 or lands elsewhere.
