The Kentucky Wildcats got some bad news after the conclusion of their 2019 NCAA Tournament run, as G Jemarl Baker Jr. announced plans to transfer.

Since then, the rising redshirt sophomore has been visiting some schools closer to his California home, and now it appears he’s made a final decision.

As you can see below, Baker announced on Twitter on Tuesday night that he was committing to the Arizona Wildcats:

Baker redshirted during the 2017-18 season and appeared in 28 games this past year for the Wildcats. During those games, he averaged 2.3 points in just over nine minutes per contest.

Now, he’ll join a talented class of players coach Sean Miller has coming in. He’ll likely have to sit out a year due to NCAA transfer rules, but when he’s able to play, he’ll be an interesting piece for his new group of Wildcats.
