Jacob Phillips appears to have been lost for the remainder of the 2022 NFL season.

The former LSU linebacker, now in his 3rd season with the Cleveland Browns, has suffered a torn pectoral, per Adam Schefter. He will now require surgery and miss the rest of the season.

Phillips, a 3rd-round draft pick in 2020, made 21 tackles in 9 games as a rookie, starting 3. His 2021 season, where he made 10 tackles and registered a sack, only saw him play in 4 games and start 1 due to a biceps injury that sidelined him for nearly 3-and-a-half-months.

He had made 40 stops through the first 7 games of the 2022 season before his injury on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens won that game, 23-20.

The Browns are currently 2-5 and have lost their last 4 games. They host the Cincinnati Bengals on “Monday Night Football” on Oct. 31.
