Former LSU LB Kwon Alexander signing with new NFL team, per report

Former LSU standout Kwon Alexander has a new home in the NFL. The veteran linebacker is reportedly headed to Pittsburgh.
Alexander is set to be a Steeler pending a physical, ESPN NFL reporter Brooke Pryor shared Saturday.
The Steelers have agreed to a deal with LB Kwon Alexander pending physical, per source.
That’s a key depth piece for a team that added Cole Holcomb and Elandon Roberts in a free agency overhaul of the ILB position.

Alexander played for LSU from 2012-to-2014. He entered the 2015 NFL Draft and was selected No. 124 overall in the fourth round by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Alexander spent his first 4 seasons with the Bucs. He was named to the PFWA’s All-Rookie Team in 2015 and made the Pro Bowl in 2017.
Ahead of the 2019 season, Alexander signed with the San Francisco 49ers. During the 2020 season, San Francisco traded Alexander to the New Orleans Saints.
Alexander completed the 2020 season with the Saints. He was released by the club in the spring but eventually re-signed on a 1-year deal ahead of the 2021 season.
The New York Jets signed Alexander for 2022. Alexander played in all 17 games for the Jets, making 12 starts. He is coming off a season in which he recorded 67 tackles, including 36 solo stops, with a half sack.
