Former LSU RB Leonard Fournette has landed a new NFL opportunity.

Fournette’s agents informed Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network that Fournette is signing to the Buffalo Bills’ practice squad.

Fournette’s professional career began in 2017. He last played in 2022.

At LSU, Fournette played from 2014-to-2016. He earned All-America honors as a sophomore and All-SEC recognition in each of his final 2 collegiate seasons.

The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Fournette No. 4 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft. Fournette played his first 3 professional seasons in Jacksonville. He’s the first Jaguar to rush for 100 yards in their NFL debut and score touchdowns in each of their first 6 games.

Ahead of the 2020 season, Fournette was waived by the Jaguars. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers claimed Fournette, signing him to a 1-year deal. Fournette would end up spending 3 seasons with the Bucs.

Fournette was key to the Bucs’ Super Bowl run in 2020. He became known as Playoff Lenny after becoming just the third NFL player to score touchdowns in 4 games in a single postseason.

Over his career, Fournette has played in 79 regular-season games, starting 61 times. He has recorded 1,132 carries for 4,478 yards and 34 touchdowns, along with 312 catches for 2,219 yards and 7 scores. He has 10 career postseason TDs.
