Former LSU WR Terrace Marshall Jr.’s first 2 seasons in the NFL have not gone as planned. He’s embracing all things new in the Carolina Panthers organization as he enters Year 3.

Marshall is working with a new quarterback, new head coach and new position coach ahead of the 2023 campaign. The former Tiger welcomes the organization’s change in approach and culture.

“(There’s a) new coaching staff, new energy around here, so I’m just adapting to that,” Marshall recently told Augusta Stone of Panthers.com. “Just feels like a fresh start, clean slate, and (I’m) ready for the year. …”

A second-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Marshall has logged 45 catches for 628 yards and 1 touchdown over 27 games in 2 seasons. As he works toward Year 3, Marshall isn’t dwelling on past frustrations.

“I’d say one word to describe it is just clear – clear-minded, just ready to take on what this year’s going to bring,” Marshall told the team website. “Just taking it one day at a time, really. Just grinding it out with the team, getting work right with the scheme and QBs. I’m ready to go.”

LSU fans have enjoyed watching former wideouts Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson make highlight catches and set records in the NFL. We’ll see if Marshall’s fresh start leads to him joining his former Tiger teammates in lighting it up on Sundays.
