Former Mizzou WR Damon Hazelton receives new NFL opportunity

Damon Hazelton is getting another NFL opportunity. The Green Bay Packers announced the signing of Hazelton, a free agent, on Friday.
Hazelton is a 6-foot-3, 206-pound rookie out of Missouri that originally signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent on May 14, 2021, but was released on Aug. 11.
Hazelton played one season (2020) as a graduate transfer at Mizzou after spending the prior three seasons at Virginia Tech (2017-19) and his freshman year at Ball State (2016). Hazelton totaled 163 receptions for 2,231 yards (13.7 avg.) and 21 touchdowns in his collegiate career. He was named second-team All-ACC in 2018 and honorable mention All-ACC in 2019.
Hazelton will wear No. 6 for the Packers.
