If anyone knows Joe Burrow well, it’s JT Barrett.
The former Ohio State teammates practiced many days together and made each other better along the way. Now, they are both playing for new teams in 2018, Barrett with the New Orleans Saints and Burrow with LSU.
The Saints rookie QB was asked what Burrow brings to Baton Rouge.
“He’s really smart, tough, willing to do anything it takes to win and he slings the ball,” Barrett told The Times-Picayune. “He can throw the ball around the yard.”

The LSU Tigers beat out the Cincinnati Bearcats for Burrow’s commitment, and he’ll be eligible this season. The Tigers officially welcomed Burrow Monday.
Barrett went a step further to explain Burrow’s best attribute, his football IQ.
“I think the biggest attribute for him is he’s smart and knows where to go with the ball,” Barrett said.
That’s great news for LSU. The Tigers don’t need a Heisman-winning QB; LSU needs someone who can execute the offense, manage the game and make accurate throws. The Tigers have plenty of really good players around the QB.
