Former SEC players Jordan Matthews, E.J. Gaines both acquired by Bills via trade
Trades are pretty rare in the NFL but nonetheless, Buffalo decided to shake up its roster early in training camp this season. The Bills announced two moves Friday, acquiring the services of Jordan Matthews and E.J. Gaines via trade.
Matthews had spent his entire three-year NFL career with the Eagles while Gaines’ NFL career has been spent with the Rams in two different cities. The Bills also received a second and a third round pick in the upcoming 2018 draft.
Buffalo surrendered Ronald Darby to the Eagles and Sammy Watkins and a sixth round selection to the Rams.
