Former Texas A&M P Braden Mann lands with new NFL team

Former Texas A&M punter Braden Mann has a new home in the NFL.

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Monday that they claimed Mann after he was waived by the New York Jets.

After his standout Texas A&M career, which included winning the Ray Guy Award in 2018 and SEC Special Teams Player of the Year honors, Mann entered the 2020 NFL Draft. He was selected by the Jets in the 6th round, No. 191 overall.

Mann has played in 43 games over 3 seasons with the Jets. In his professional career, Mann has recorded 206 punts for 9,362 yards, a 45.5-yard average (39.8-yard net average). Mann has punted inside the 20-yard line 60 times, recording 42 fair catches.

Last season, Mann logged 83 punts for a 46.9-yard average, with 27 going inside the 20-yard line.
