Former Texas A&M QB Kellen Mond has reportedly landed a new NFL opportunity.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Indianapolis Colts are signing Mond. The Colts brought in multiple quarterbacks for workouts with starting quarterback Anthony Richardson sidelined by injury. NFL veteran Gardner Minshew has filled in for Richardson.

Mond’s career began with the Minnesota Vikings. He was selected No. 66 overall in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Vikings.

As a rookie, Mond appeared in 1 regular-season game for Minnesota. He was 2-of-3 passing for 5 yards. The Vikings waived Mond during final roster cuts ahead of the 2022 season.

The Cleveland Browns picked up Mond for 2022. He did not make a regular-season appearance with the Browns and was released before the 2023 season.

The Colts are 3-2 on the season and face division rival Jacksonville on the road in Week 6.
