FOX-YouTube TV dispute could impact fans’ ability to watch Texas-Ohio State

FOX and YouTube TV are in a stalemate when it comes to a carriage agreement. Considering FOX is slated to air the massive Texas-Ohio State game on Saturday, this is notable for college football fans.
This is one of the few SEC games that airs on FOX, and now fans down South might have to scramble for alternative viewing options if this situation isn’t solved in time for Week 1.

Doesn’t it seem like this happens every year around the start of football season? Well, that’s because it does. According to Awful Announcing, it’s not uncommon for networks and carriers to have contracts that need to be renegotiated around this time:
Awful Announcing reports that 5 p.m. ET on Wednesday, August 27, is the deadline for an agreement before the FOX-owned networks go dark:
For Big Ten fans and MLB fans, this would be a devastating turn of events this fall, as FOX has the rights to the biggest B1G game each week and the World Series.
We’ll know by Wednesday if anything is sorted out between the 2 sides or if this dispute will carry over into Week 1.
