Ole Miss likely won’t have to prepare for two Seminole quarterbacks, as Florida State head coach announced an injury to quarterback Sean Maguire Saturday.  Fisher indicated Maguire will need screws inserted in his foot and will be out at least a month.

This news means FSU is all but assured to give redshirt freshman Deondre Francois his first start of his young career against the Rebels. Francois was a four-star member of the Seminoles’ 2015 recruiting class and was listed as the No. 3 pro-style quarterback prospect in the nation, according to 247Sports Composite Ratings.

Florida State has yet to officially name Francois the team’s starting quarterback for the opener and still have redshirt sophomore J.J. Cosentino and true freshman Malik Henry as options to start under center.
