Months removed from being involved in the Sammy Watkins blockbluster trade, cornerback E.J. Gaines is on the move again.

The former Mizzou star is going to another AFC squad. This time, Gaines is heading back east to Cleveland, which the Browns announced on Friday:

Gaines will have a chance to earn a starting job in Cleveland, where he’ll be reunited with Browns defensive coordinator Gregg Williams. It was in Williams’ defense with the Rams where Gaines started 15 games as a sixth-round rookie in 2014 and 10 more games in 2016.

A Lisfranc foot injury slowed down the PFWA All-Rookie selection’s second season, and a thigh injury sidelined him for 5 games in 2016.

Still, the former first-team All-SEC selection has had a solid NFL career so far. He has 185 tackles, 30 pass deflections, 4 forced fumbles and 3 interceptions.
