Although South Carolina started fall camp Friday, Clemson transfer running back Tavien Feaster didn’t report. Saturday was Feaster’s first practice as a member of the South Carolina team.
Feaster decided to sign with USC over Virginia Tech after deciding to transfer from Clemson this off-season. In three seasons, Feaster rushed 222 times for 1,330 yards and 15 touchdowns. Most recently, he rushed for 440 yards and six touchdowns in 2018 as the Tigers won the national championship.
Gamecocks tight ends coach Bobby Bentley spoke to the media Saturday morning, and he was asked how Feaster looked after Day 1.
“I thought he looked good, but my focus right now is tight ends and recruiting more good players here,” Bentley said, via South Carolina’s YouTube channel.
Feaster is a huge addition for the Gamecocks offense. A stable running game will go a long, long way in helping USC have a successful offense and season.
