The fallout continues for former Auburn quarterback Cam Newton following his comments this week to a female reporter.
The Carolina Panthers quarterback said it was “funny” that a female reporter was asking him a question about routes. Gatorade said the comments were “objectionable and disrespectful” and it fully supports women.
Gatorade is the latest advertiser connected with Newton to release a statement about his comments. Newton starred in a Gatorade commercial last year that focused on his response to a Super Bowl loss two years ago.
Earlier, Dannon said it would break ties with Newton.
