Gators DB doesn’t take kindly to Tennessee flag placed on Steve Spurrier statue

Rivalry week between Florida and Tennessee is in full swing.
After some talk about the game being moved to another location on account of Hurricane Irma, it will be played as scheduled in Gainesville.
Earlier this week, a photo started to make the rounds on social media of a Tennessee fan who had placed a flag with the school’s “block T” logo on the Steve Spurrier statue outside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

Wednesday, Florida’s Chauncey Gardner made his thoughts on the matter known. Gardner, a sophomore cornerback, told reporters the act was “disrespectful.”

Gardner and the Gators will welcome the Volunteers to town Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff.
The Vols are looking to make it two straight in the series after a decade of frustration.
