For the past eight years, former Florida RB Brady Ackerman has been very present around the program, serving as a sideline reporter during Gator football games, as well as in a number of other media roles.

However, he’ll be absent this fall, as he returns to the world of coaching, joining the staff for Jackson State University.

As you can see in Ackerman’s tweet below, he’s joining the staff as an offensive analyst for the FCS program, which plays in the Southwestern Athletic Conference:

Ackerman has coaching stops on his resume, including Jacksonville State and Valdosta State.

He’ll be missed in Gainesville, but he clearly had the coaching itch, so it’s off to Jackson, Mississippi, for the longtime Gator.
