Georgia has added a non-conference opponent for the 2025 season.
On Monday, the Charlotte 49ers announced they will play in Athens on November 22, 2025.
It will be the first ever meeting between the two teams.
“The chance to play ‘Between the Hedges’ will be truly special for our team and fans,” said Charlotte Director of Athletics Mike Hill. “Georgia is one of the nation’s elite programs, and this marks an incredible opportunity for our football program.”
The 49ers currently compete in Conference USA.
With the addition of Charlotte, Georgia now has three out-of-conference opponents scheduled for that season. The other two are UCLA (August 30) and Georgia Tech (November 29).
Georgia opens the 2019 season Saturday, August 31, against Vanderbilt in Nashville. The game will be televised on the SEC Network at 7:30 p.m. ET.
